WELCOME
Too Cute Kitten Rescue began, in 2016, with a little orange kitten named Oliver. I was a traveling therapist (Occupational) and I was offered a job in Imperial Valley California. Imperial Valley is insanely hot! A desert community next to Mexicali. I was doing Home Health. When I stubbled upon Oliver in a gutter.
I remember the first time I brought Oliver home. He was just three weeks old and his eyes were goopy. So of course, I did the responsible thing and called the local shelters. They were all full and couldn’t take him. It was right then that I knew if they couldn’t take him, I would. And what a challenge it was. Neither of us were prepared for the stress of not only surviving , but thriving. We stumbled through late night bottle feedings, eye-infections, litter training and a barrage of other developmental challenges. There were many 2AM nights that I found myself in front of You-Tube or Google, just trying to figure out how to get my little guy through another day.
Oliver sparked a fire inside that I didn’t know exsisted.
Today, I hope to make that same road for Imperial Valley kittens just a little easier. Don’t get me wrong, raising kittens isn’t easy. But take a breath, maybe take a sip of that freshly brewed coffee, and dare to enjoy the moments ahead.
